In 1994, Tony became ordained to the Ministry of the Gospel. Drawing on his background as an insurance agent, he established Burden Bearer’s Benevolent Fund, which was an alternative to traditional health insurance. Burden Bearer’s operated as a ministry of his church for three years. Additionally, Tony served the church in several other capacities, teaching Sunday School, teaching at the school’s affiliated high school, and coaching the school’s wrestling team for fifteen years.
Also in 1994, Tony founded Ambassador Sports International, a ministry that began in response to the time crunch placed on the Olympic Training Center’s resident athletes. Many of the Training Center’s athletes did not have time to attend church services. To remedy this, Tony began on-campus Bible Studies on Wednesday nights. Since then, the ministry has seen dozens of athletes come to Christ.
Tony currently works full time for Ambassador Sports International, pursuing the creation of Ambassador Sports International as a viable non-profit entity.
Tony and his wife, Becky, have three children and live in Colorado Springs.
